About the tutor

I’m Hemlata, an undergraduate at the University of Bristol studying BSc (Hons) Biochemistry. I am an experienced tutor, recipient of the Zero Gravity Scholarship and was the Oxford Scientist Schools’ Science Writing Competition Winner in 2022 for my essay “The Future of Science is Like Rice on a Chess Board”, conveying my passion for science communication and optimism for the future. I believe in the saying “do not fear failing, rather fear not trying”. To me, students who choose to approach tutors show an admirable dedication to their studies and I am keen to see students achieve their goals, supported by my own experience-informed, science-backed and results-driven study strategies.
